The Role
We're looking for a Senior Fraud & Risk Analyst to join our Revenue & Operations team. You'll work at the intersection of fraud prevention, payments integrity, and risk strategy for a platform processing millions of transactions across Mexico and Brazil.
This is a high-ownership role. You'll be expected to move fast, think in systems, and bring both analytical depth and operational judgment. You'll work closely with Engineering, Product, and Data to build and refine the controls that keep our platform safe and our players confident.
What You'll Do
Fraud Detection & Prevention
Investigate fraud patterns across registration, deposits, withdrawals, and gameplay — with a focus on multi-accounting, bonus abuse, and payment fraud.
Design and tune detection rules and scoring models to shift fraud response from reactive to preventive.
Own the day-to-day triage and escalation of fraud alerts, building and improving investigation workflows as you go.
Payments Risk
Monitor and optimize fraud exposure across payment service providers, balancing approval rates, UX friction, and risk thresholds.
Analyze chargeback and dispute patterns and work with the payments team to reduce exposure.
Support the design of deposit gating and withdrawal routing logic across payment providers.
Risk Strategy & Tooling
Author risk proposals and internal documentation that drive team roadmap decisions.
Build dashboards and reports that surface key fraud and revenue metrics to leadership.
Contribute to the design of investigation tooling and internal automation workflows.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with Engineering on the implementation of fraud controls and risk scoring systems.
Work with Customer Support and Product to close feedback loops on fraud cases.
Stay current on fraud trends specific to regulated sports betting and igaming in Mexico and LATAM.
What We're Looking For
Required
3+ years of experience in fraud, risk, or trust & safety — ideally in fintech, gaming, or payments.
Deep familiarity with the Mexico market: payment methods (SPEI, Oxxo, Apple pay among others, credit), regulatory context, and fraud patterns specific to MX and Latam.
Strong analytical skills — you're comfortable pulling your own data, building queries, and constructing arguments from evidence.
Experience designing or tuning fraud rules in a rules engine or fraud platform (e.g., SEON, Sardine, Kount, or equivalent).
Ability to read or write code or queries (SQL, Python, or similar) — we value analytically self-sufficient analysts.
Ability to communicate clearly in English — written and spoken. Our team operates in English.
Demonstrated ownership mentality: you've built or significantly improved a fraud process, not just executed on one.
Nice to Have
Experience in regulated sports betting.
Familiarity with multi-accounting detection techniques, including geolocation and device fingerprinting signals.
Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly through dashboards and presentations tailored to different stakeholders — translating complex fraud problems into actionable insights.
Experience collaborating across multiple teams (product, operations, business) and comfort prioritizing between operational urgencies and longer-term structural issues.
Familiarity with KYC/AML tooling and compliance processes in the context of regulated payments or gaming platforms.
